September 3 – What toys do you remember playing with as a child
When I was little I had this little red plastic box (chances are toxic) that was once my fathers toy. It was made in the 1960′s and played Row Row Row Your Boat when you wound it up. I loved that toy when I was small. I would sit under my Grand Mothers kitchen table and wind it up and sing with it over and over. I still have this toy actually and sometimes I bring it out to let my children play with it. It still works. I don’t think the plastic is safe though, so it is not a toy they get to play with often. Plastic can be such a danger and they really didn’t think much about that back then. Heck a lot of people don’t think much about it now.
I also loved My Little Ponies! The OLD ones! Do you remember those?
I wonder if they ever had any safety issues? I know my little sister, not so little anymore as she got married a few weeks ago has a lot of the ones I had as a little girl still. She loved them as well!
My own daughters love the new My Little Pony shows and little figures though we do not have many and as you know try not to watch too much TV. I love that they are still around and I have to admit the show is kind of cute still!
