Our 4 year old daughter was so happy to learn that she was getting to help review this Merida costume from Costume Express. Brave is one of her favorite movies because of all the action, the bears, the girl with the hair as she calls her, and the magic. I loved how different the setting of this Disney movie is and how it had nothing to do with a boy. It was about parents and children and it is wonderful.
This dress is very well made, had great detail, and true to size. With fake fur trim and fake leather arms and accents it is a costume well worth the price. I expect it will have a long life in our home as well. The bottom of the dress has a plastic hoop in it to keep the dress flowing outward. We did need to take it down and I can see this part becoming damage and maybe not lasting a long time. I could be wrong though. So far I have had to repair that part once. I expect when it breaks for good it will not be hard to just pull out and still the dress will be beautiful.
