Beautiful Book for Children: The Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day

The Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day: Press the note to hear Vivaldi’s music

My family was delighted to discover this fantastic children’s book that brings the classical music of Vivaldi to life! I admit, my kids have not been much into classical music but to my surprise, they loved this book and specially the music. Ever since reading this book the kids have asked not only to listen to more classical but to learn more about it.

This 24 page hardcover book takes kids on an adventure through the seasons in a single day following a little girl, her apple tree, and her little dog. While the words are a bit difficult for young readers, they love hearing the story and specially love pushing the buttons. Our favorite part was the very back of the book where the vocabulary is presented. It is then a challenge to listen to all the music buttons again and figure out what parts are in Minor and Major and many other things about the music. Now my kids listen to classical and can tell me more about the music. I am so excited to learn more with the kids about classical music and composers.

This would make a fantastic book for any child in our opinion ages 5 to 12. Even our 17 year old sat down with this book on her own to read it and play with the music though! The art work is stunning and busy and beautiful and makes you want to explore each page over and over to find new things hidden in the art work.
